WALK IT OFF GOMEZ!!!
Brewers Beat Chicago, 7-6
The Milwaukee Brewers did just enough to secure a victory over the Chicago Cubs, 7-6, at Miller Park. Nobody did more than left fielder Ryan J Braun. The winner was Roy Oswalt in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Carlos Marmol took the loss. The loss has the Cubs at 7-2. The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Milwaukee trailing 6-4, Carlos Gomez hit a slider from Carlos Marmol for a 3-run home run, giving the Brewers the walk-off win. "Nice to tuck this win away," said Gomez.

It looked like it was going to be another disappointment, Greinke started off
slow again but Milwaukee came back with 3 in the 5th to take a 4-2 lead on a 3
run HR by Ryan Braun. Greinke labored through 6 but left with lead and
Latroy Hawkins. That didn't go well as gave up 3 in the 7th. Brad
Lidge gave up another in the 8th and it would go to the bottom of the 9th 6-4
Cubs. Then Carlos Marmol happened. Two HBP to the 8th and 9th put
2 on for Carlos Gomez who entered as a PH in the 7th. After 2 failed
bunt attempts he decided to take it on himself and belted out a walkoff 3 run
HR to send the fans home happy for once against the Cubs.
