Brewers Squelch Braves Offense in Shutout Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee
Brewers get after it. Milwaukee Brewers starter Eduardo Villafane worked his
magic, as he helped his team defeat the Atlanta Braves, 4-0. Villafane, the
winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and
giving up 3 walks. The Brewers got an important contribution from shortstop
Yuniesky Betancourt, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a first pitch
fastball into center for a run-scoring double. It was his 1st double of the
season and put the Brewers ahead, 2-0. Betancourt told a Milwaukee Today
reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win. The defeat makes Atlanta 0-5.
